The Dead River, Marquette County, Michigan...Rivière des Morts...Historically, its name is derived from the OjibweGaa-waakwimiigong-neyaashi-ziibi (recorded as "Kah way komi gong nay aw shay Sibi", meaning "Peninsula by the Roads to the Land of the Dead River") or Ne-waakwimiinaang (recorded as "Ne ko me non" meaning "by the Peninsula for Road to the Land of the Dead")...from Wiki
Graveraet River in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, maybe 8-9 miles long, flows into Superior, and I've had a blast fishing this one among many others...was on this one w/my brother this once, walking back, he was in the lead, he almost stepped on a fawn...we both thought it was a brown rock, until it leaped up and ran off.
