I read this book two years ago, and wow! Those illustrations were AMAZING! I feel that, even if I hated the story line and flipped through the book for the pictures, they would make me read it to find out the context! Good choice, Mr. King!

Just one great example, GNTLGNT ! If I still had my copy, I'd post one or two photos!
Hmmm...I don't recall these first two pictures, kingricefan... WOnder if they had different illustrated versions...?
The limited edition published by Philtrum Press (King's own publishing company- look up what a philtrum is- and then look up dendrite while you're at it, as that was what Tabitha King used as her copyright name and see if you get the inside joke) and used Kenneth R. Linkhauser as the illustrator. I heard that there was a falling out between the artist and King (?) and that is why his illos weren't used. I prefer David Palladian's illustrations, but the other ones are great, too.Hmmm...I don't recall these first two pictures, kingricefan... WOnder if they had different illustrated versions...?
