I like going to the liquor store (here in PA they don't sell alcohol in regular stores...you have to go to a "state store" for wine/liquor or a beer distributor for - you guessed it - beer) and choosing my own wine, but if I wanted something they don't carry, I'd like the option to order it.

This looks like a double-edged sword to me.

I can imagine perfectly innocent situations where alcohol delivery would be a wonderful thing.

Sadly, I do not have to imagine a situation where a person with no ability to help themselves is being enabled (and slowly killed) by strangers trying to make a buck. I've seen something like this in action (I won't tell you where) and I will tell you that it is probably perfectly fine for a lot of people, but is no different than giving a child a loaded gun in certain circumstances.

For every person who can't get to the liquor store for any number of valid reasons, there is another person who can't get there because they've already been there (so to speak).

I don't like this at all.

This is a terrible idea.

End of sermon (and sorry).

I see the same double edged sword.

Could be handy in Utah or Idaho! Seriously, you need a drink just to drive through those states...

Here in Nevada, you can get moonshine at Wal Mart. I think we're good. :very_drunk:

Once, in my wild, misspent youth, I travelled around the deep south (Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana) one summer doing inventories at WalMart stores. They didn't sell liquor at WalMart, but one thing you always had to keep in mind was that the next store might be in a dry county, so if you liked to pull a cork (as I did then) you had to prepare in advance for the nightly party we always had at whatever Motel 6 or Super 8 we were staying at.

Not a great job, but it can be fun being on the road and pretending -- for a little while -- that you don't really have any responsibility.
