Anyone watching Neil Gaiman's book on the small screen?

I've read the book, don't remember much about it, but as the story unfolds more is coming back to me.

The stylistic and creative way this story is being told has me hooked.

Thoughts?

I LOVE this show. It amazes me how close they've stuck to the story, and the first season only takes us about a third of the way through the book. I like how they've fleshed out Shadow's character in the show - in the book he was pretty apathetic to everything happening around him, but Ricky Whittle brings such great dimension to this character. Can't wait for season 2, but was disappointed to read that Bryan Fuller has stepped down as show-runner.

I loved how they adapted this. The visuals were striking and powerful. And perfect choices for the characters.

Apparently there is a lot of drama behind the scenes of American Gods and viewership has dropped.

But, I am personally enjoying this second season very much. I love the creativity. The visuals are stimulating and grand. Intricate details.

My favorite character is Mad Sweeney who is not the original actor to play him. Now played by Pablo Tell Schreiber, he should consider going ginger for good. He is super cute as a redhead.
