Oh man, just watched the first episode. That was something, wasn't it? yikes.
It might be partly because Twisty the clown is so terrifying and it might be partly because SK fans tend to see connections but...
When Elsa entered Bette/Dot's room at the hospital, the balloons she was carrying made me think of Pennywise. Ever since reading SK's IT, I think of balloons as objects of evil.

I'm just watching it now, luckily here in Australia we get the show on regular tv so don't have to pay. It's quite scary, I don't normally watch this sort of show but will see how I go.
Did anyone watch that show called "Carnivale" that was out a few years ago? It's a similar sort of feel to the show and I loved that.

I halfway expected to see "In memory of Tom Laughlin" in the closing credits. The episode was very much like the movie Billy Jack.

I don't subscribe to HBO so I never got to see Carnivale
which is probably a good thing since I read the series was cancelled before the story ended and I would have gotten plenty upset 
Aw man. That was just wrong. Something really, really bad has to happen to that guy.

Stellar acting from Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates, enjoyed the back story and I want to get that song Jessica sang!

I missed the first few minutes, but I do like how it turned out with Kathy Bates' character and that weird professor Quirrell guy.

I dvr'd it but havn't watched it yet. I was going to wait until this afternoon to watch it but your post has made me curious... I'm going to go watch it right now

My poor DVR is working overtime. I am recording this show, Sleepy Hollow and Grimm now. Between that and football, I am maxed out on TV watching. LOL
I agree that it was unexpected. Poor clown! Makes more sense why he was that way, and why the toy shop man got killed earlier. And really can't wait to see what Jr. Clown (can't remember his name) is gonna do next! Didn't you love Elsa's look when she found out someone else had been taken my Mondrake?

That's the part that surprised me the most. I never expected Twisty to be a sympathetic character.
