For those that don't get the channel, if you really want to watch you can rent on Amazon (streaming). The season premiere was free for Prime nembers, not sure how much for non-members.
We cancelled cable last year so this is how we watch any non-network TV shows (day after they air on cable).
I think it's cool someone finally found a USE for Gaga, at least. Heh heh. Sorry, Kingfish, I had to do it.
(To be truthful, I do think Lady Gaga is a talented, wild chick--it's just that she's a straight-on dead ringer for a crazy ex girlfriend of mine, and she scares the hell out of me--perfect for the horror genre, I'd wot.)
But then, my ex couldn't play piano (or sing). Had all the other Gaga traits. Can you imagine us at the family cookout? Mama Muskrat asking her, "How do you want that dress prepared, hon? Rare or medium?"

Earlier, I said I'd hoped they could bring us something that was on the level of Murder House or Asylum. 2 episodes in, I think they're very much living up to my hopes/expectations. It's different from those earlier seasons (far more bombastic, grandiose and theatrical) but not at all in a bad way. And it's similar enough in tone, that were I not a fan, I'd still be able to see that it came from the same show. Unlike Coven and Freak Show, it is actually making a consistent effort to live up to the 'Horror' in the title.
And I'm loving the two main baddies of the Countess and Mr. March. I think that's something that was sorely lacking in the last two seasons: charismatic villains. I think people are giving Gaga a hard time out of some misguided feeling of obligation to attack celebrities who are out of their comfort zones. I think she's doing a great job. She's eerie, magnetic and highly sexual. And Evan Peters is hysterical as the transatlantic accented Mr. March. I laughed so hard when his first course of action after slaughtering an innocent woman....was to complain about the light fixture hanging above his head. He reminds me of a nightmarish John Cleese.
I just caught up with this and have to say my buttox is clenched so tight at the moment, you couldnt get a credit card between the cheeks. Halfway through i began singing the hotel california tune - pointing out its comparisons - and then the song faded in . Booyah!
Are they just out to push every boundary for Tv. I mean it was gimp sex in AHS 1
AHS 2 had nun fetish AHS3 or 4 was snuff movie ( gave up halfay through that)
And now we got AHS4 (or 5 missed one somewhere ?) rape torture ???
AHS6 .... Babe in the city? Animal farm?
All too much for this fella. Ill stick to supernatural i reckon .
Did anyone see the latest episode and the conversation between the two cops about a guy who took too many sex enhancing drugs? Life imitate fiction much? I jsut thought it was a weird coincidence after Odom's situation.

No. I just don't think she can act her way out of a wet paper sack. As somebody that grew up in the ages of Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson, I find nothing interesting about her "shock" value whatsoever. I think she's a badly over-hyped yawn-fest. The whole season has been custom tailored to feature her, and I'm just not impressed.
Strange as it seems, there was almost a sense of humor about the earlier seasons, a quirky sense of whimsy, almost. And that's sorely lacking this season. I think they're taking themselves far too seriously.
If it weren't the Gaga show, maybe. But with the whole thing custom fit to bow at her feet, no thanks.
Wasn't specifically talking about you, but whatever. And considering she's had no more and no less screen time than any other of the other prominent cast members, I'm failing to see how it's become the Gaga show or how it's been tailored to feature her. Perhaps this is true in the case of promotional materials, but most people don't have trouble separating the promo material from the actual content of the show. I'd go so far as to say this last episode was Evan Peters centric, with the first episode obviously being centered around the detective.
I think there are lots of little homages going on if we just pay attention.
The hotel itself is like H.H. Holmes's torture hotel. And tonight's episode had the elevator stopping at a floor where old time music was being played on a victrola -- this is very reminiscent of a movie starring James Brolin -- Nightmare on the 13th floor.
Well, I think Gaga is doing a fine job. I'm a lot more interested in the outlying characters, though. How come Sarah Paulson's is still there and can manifest fully? Why is Kathy Bates' there with her? Yes, because they are connected but how and why are they still there? Why does Gaga collect children? I want more about Denis O'Hare's character and where is Angela Bassett?
The detective is very interesting, too. Wes Bentley is doing a great job. And now that Finn and Evan are in the mix, the ride is getting wilder. I'm enjoying the hell out of it!
