Hey, guys. I'm still relatively new here, but I'm a longtime Stephen King fan, and recently I got into a casting discussion on another King-related blog where I mentioned that I might start a Stephen King casting blog. There was interest shown, so I did.

The blog project started as just me thinking about casting an updated version of It or The Stand, two of my favorite King books, and The Dark Tower which doesn't have a movie yet.

But then, I thought why not approach this as the kind of shared Cinematic Universe that Marvel currently has going (and others are trying to cash in on) with a bunch of movies and TV series all based on Sai King's writing and with deliberate connections to each other?

So, I decided that what I needed to do was read or re-read everything King has published, be it novel, novella or short story, and cast it while it's fresh in my mind. I'm reading at a pretty quick rate, for me, and I've already got several posts up (I started this back in October).

You can check out "Adapting the King" at adaptingstephenking.blogspot.com and I welcome, no, crave comments. Please tell me what you think, where you agree, disagree, especially where you disagree. I'm still really excited to be doing this and not just because I am relishing the chance to read all of King's works in order.

On top of that, if you just love scary stories in general, I've got a few original ones over at thereissomethingbehindme.blogspot.com. Some of these stories have already gained a bit of a following online, not to brag. Again, comments are welcomed and encouraged.

Yesterday I posted twice, a first for this blog. I now have pages up for The Dead Zone and Crouch End. As I really enjoyed both these books/stories, I hope I've done them proud with my castings.

And the blog rolls on. Posts are now up for Firestarter, Cujo and The Running Man. In the next month or so, we'll have one up for The Dark Tower.

Thank you very much! I'm really excited to have this excuse (and motivator) to read all of Sai King's works. As ka would have it, I am presently reading the first volume of The Dark Tower. In fact, I read the original version and am now reading the updated version.

My Dark Tower post is up now. It's just on The Gunslinger but it details how I think this project should be approached, and who would make a good Roland.

I also have a reader poll asking which of my potential Rolands you'd prefer, or none of them. I encourage you to comment on who your choice is if you chose none of them.
