Hey, guys. I'm still relatively new here, but I'm a longtime Stephen King fan, and recently I got into a casting discussion on another King-related blog where I mentioned that I might start a Stephen King casting blog. There was interest shown, so I did.
The blog project started as just me thinking about casting an updated version of It or The Stand, two of my favorite King books, and The Dark Tower which doesn't have a movie yet.
But then, I thought why not approach this as the kind of shared Cinematic Universe that Marvel currently has going (and others are trying to cash in on) with a bunch of movies and TV series all based on Sai King's writing and with deliberate connections to each other?
So, I decided that what I needed to do was read or re-read everything King has published, be it novel, novella or short story, and cast it while it's fresh in my mind. I'm reading at a pretty quick rate, for me, and I've already got several posts up (I started this back in October).
You can check out "Adapting the King" at adaptingstephenking.blogspot.com and I welcome, no, crave comments. Please tell me what you think, where you agree, disagree, especially where you disagree. I'm still really excited to be doing this and not just because I am relishing the chance to read all of King's works in order.
On top of that, if you just love scary stories in general, I've got a few original ones over at thereissomethingbehindme.blogspot.com. Some of these stories have already gained a bit of a following online, not to brag. Again, comments are welcomed and encouraged.
