Hi all:

I suppose I am a collector, in that I have almost all the SK books, and some other stuff, and books about SK, and things like that. But I don't see myself as a 'collector', because I don't have any limited editions, don't have anything behind a slipcase, etc. etc.

Are there any "real" collectors out there who would like to do a phone interview with me for The Kingcast? 15-20 minutes of easygoing conversation about King and your collection, done at your leisure. Get in touch via PM or email me at thekingcast@gmail.com.

If you have all or most of King's books (especially if you have books about King!) then you are a collector. If you take care of those books and handle them with care, then you are a collector. I might be interested in doing the phone interview, I'll have to think about it. I'm kind of a 'behind the scenes' type of guy, so we'll see.

There are a few serious collectors on the site, and a few more that would like to be :) I have at least one copy of all of Mr. King's books in HB (except the first 4 DT books--those are TPB), but I don't care much about first/special editions or having multiple copies. Having one to read is good enough for me--lol. jchanic and kingricefan are the two members here that spring immediately to mind. I think king family fan might have an extensive collection as well.

Thank you for thinking of me in that stature! John (jchanic) definately has me beat for the size and scope of a King collection. Linda (KFF) has lots of items of interest outside of just the books, too.

Like kingricefan, I'll have to think about it. I like to stay just on the various message boards, mainly.

If it helps those who are on the fence, I am happy to do an interview with several people simultaneously -- and while I would want you to identify yourselves on the podcast (you're not in the CIA after all...or ARE YOU?), other than that, your privacy will be maintained. My episodes run about 30 mins total, so the interview would last about 20 mins.

I'm still thinking about it.
