Another question about collecting.

Hi all:

I suppose I am a collector, in that I have almost all the SK books, and some other stuff, and books about SK, and things like that. But I don't see myself as a 'collector', because I don't have any limited editions, don't have anything behind a slipcase, etc. etc.

If you have all or most of King's books (especially if you have books about King!) then you are a collector. If you take care of those books and handle them with care, then you are a collector. I might be interested in doing the phone interview, I'll have to think about it. I'm kind of a 'behind the scenes' type of guy, so we'll see.

You might try thedarktower.org. That is the website of the hardcore King collectors. There are some folks there who travel to every King event and have unbelievable collections.

There are a few serious collectors on the site, and a few more that would like to be I have at least one copy of all of Mr. King's books in HB (except the first 4 DT books--those are TPB), but I don't care much about first/special editions or having multiple copies. Having one to read is good enough for me--lol. jchanic and kingricefan are the two members here that spring immediately to mind. I think king family fan might have an extensive collection as well.
