The last couple of years it's been action/thrillers. It's brain candy--by the end of the day, I usually have brain fatigue.

How many movies do you think you see in an average year? How many in theaters?
I never go to a movie anymore. I used to quite a bit. Meanwhile, I like to watch movies on TV and probably would average 25-50 movies in a year's time that way. But that won't be true for a while as I've taken AT&T's basic package which includes a lot of nothing. I need to watch movies via Netflix but my habit is to be at the SKMB instead of doing anything else except work, and I'm even here often at work.

What's your favorite comedy movie(s)?

Bringing Up Baby. It think that is the perfect comedy; it never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I've seen it :)

What is you favorite drama?
(Bringing Up Baby's the one I was thinking, too!)

Hmmm... Not sure. Most of the movies I think of as favorites are suspense thrillers, action, or comedies.

I have so many favorites in this genre, but the first answer that popped into my head is "American History X". Powerful. And oh lord Ed Norton...mmmmm.

What's your favorite horror movie?

The man who played Danny in Kubrick's the Shining. I know he's no longer in the business, but he's about my age and just to talk about what he remembers from the whole experience. Plus, he could probably get me a signed SK book ;)

Who would you have lunch with?

Ancient: Joseph. He had to have taken a lot of crap for marrying Mary, and he had to do it on faith. She knew how she got pregnant, but he didn't; he had only his faith. Both would have been social pariahs, and he would have been laughed at for being cuckolded. But he did it with love, faith, and grace.

Recent past: Mr. Rogers. His kindness is a lesson to everyone.

Living: Bill Nye, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Mr. King

When did you become an SKMB member?
Yeah, I know. It was still faith, though, that allowed him to believe a dream. :)

The first time...I think it was 2006? After a couple of years, I had some personal stuff happen and visited only very occasionally. I re-joined (I'd forgotten the password and changed internet servers in the interim, so I couldn't get the password reminder) a couple of years ago.

How many years have you been a member?

I became a member in 2006. For a year or so I was only on the old Social Groups, was too shy to post on the "Main Board".

What's the sickest you've ever been?

Flu, in 1987. I hallucinated, not really awake or asleep, for days. Thank heavens I was between apartments and living with my parents at the time; my mom took care of me. Next worst was either gout in my knee or herniated disc. You know how people say there's no pain worse than childbirth? WRONG. Both of those hurt worse than unmedicated childbirth.

Do you like your job?

Not to seem entirely pitiful but after a splenectomy after I fell out of a tree as a kid I've been very subject to infections especially upper respiratory ones. There were many times I had a really high fever. Once of more I had to have an ice bath. I've had the flu more times than I can count involving every organ system there is. But enough about me.

What are your favorite TV shows?

Have you ever had a fire; been in a fire?
No, but a friend and I once accidentally started a fire which made the news. I confessed to my dad who then said, "Don't tell anybody else."

Have you ever personally witnessed a major accident/tragedy?
