I'm sorry you had to deliver that news, Doc. It must have been heartbreaking.

Yes, I have. My dad and brother died within six months of each other a few years back. It was a bad time--I basically lost two years where I was in a fog. I remember very little about those years--thank goodness I have a good husband or my kids would have been in real trouble.

What's the first song that comes to mind when you think of junior high?
Thank you, it was a long time ago but I remember it vividly. I'm very sorry to hear about you losing your father and brother so close together. Wow.

Junior high? Don't laugh, because it isn't necessarily a song I liked, but From A Distance. It played on the radio alot. Desert Storm had just begun.

What about you?

Def Leppard-Pour Some Sugar On Me. Mainly because it was played at EVERY party or social gathering for about two years straight. My girlfriend at that time loved Def Leppard so I played it....a lot. :jammin:

Since I don't see a new question, I will ask one.
Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes (sort of) - I did feel the spirit of my dead brother a day or so after his death - the feeling was very strong that there was a 'presence' in the room with me

What was your best or worst job when you were first starting to work?

I worked at a run down golf course, I had to work in the winter in a small club house with a bunch of gross men playing poker, smoking and drinking beer.

Do you still keep in touch with any childhood friends?
No I don't - after moving away from my home province and joining the military we got moved around way too much

I like some of the strange avatars on here - can you explain why you chose your avatar please? (open to anyone)

Pay off our mortgage and credit cards. Then buy a house in Hawaii and withdraw (I'd still send money to charity, though, just a lot more!)

Do you have a favorite charity?
Yeah - me!

No but seriously I guess I would donate to Salvation Army or a homeless shelter

Do you watch the news much or do you prefer not to?

I am a news junkie. Dialed it back after election day since I'd been going overboard in the past couple of years. Need to get the pendulum in the center. I only watch Rachel Maddow and some local news right now. Baby steps....

What kind of drapes do you prefer; blackout or sheers?

I prefer the kind that block out the light (or even better - wooden blinds)

p.s. I had to consult the Urban Dictionary to figure out what "those boyz" were talkin' bout

Have you ever gone without deodorant to give your armpits a break?
