No, but I bite my thumb cuticles, sometimes.

In your lifetime have you ever gotten a speeding ticket? If so, and more than once, how many times?
A few times - once in Quebec, another one in Base Borden, and several in Winnipeg thanks to those sneaky cameras set up in vehicles on the side of the road (B*stards!):D:biggrin2:

Twice I fought the tickets - once I won outright but the second time they just reduced my fine

When was the last time you had a really delicious bowl of soup? (What kind was it?)

Here is a pot of vegetable soup with beef tips that I recently made:

Have you ever been creeped out when alone with a stranger on an elevator?

I don't think I've ever been creeped out. I most likely have creeped someone out however. I have no filter and I laugh too loudly. people aren't sure whether I'm a joy or scary :a24:

Do you wake up with a song in your head?
This morning I did. I'll Follow The Sun...Steffen posted it in Song Thread yesterday.

Who's your favorite composer of film scores?

Yes, always.

Who was your first TV crush?
Barney Fife from Andy of Mayberry

Seriously I cannot remember if I had one

I have to go now but just to keep the game going - here is a question

What do you think of the statement:

"I don't like to take baths - it feels like you can't get clean as you are sitting in your own dirt"

i.e. agree or disagree?

That's from Friends right? :D
But I don't agree. I love a steaming hot bubble bath.

Do you enjoy a soak in a hot tub/jacuzzi?

Yes, the jacuzzi and a nice bourbon is very relaxing on occasion. Especially if you're in one where the temperature outside is chilly.

Has anyone ever questioned your judgement in books?

I think I question my OWN judgement of books. I always think I don't like books that are "smart enough" or "literary" enough. And then I think, who gives a sh*t? Do they bring me joy? Yes! So I stop judging myself. Until I start again...

Do you change as soon as you get home from work?

Bacon, lard biscuits, honey and scrambled eggs. Maybe grits.

Has your car ever stalled in a remote area?
Not so remote that we could not call either CAA or AAA (luckily)

Do you celebrate anniversaries of any particular special occasions?
(Hmm - that sounded sort of vague) - would you say you have a good memory for things like that? i.e. when you met someone special for example?

Ahem, (bangs gavel) Objection, leading the witness!
I don't have the best memory these days but I have managed to remember certain anniversaries and birthdays. I check the calendar frequently.

Is there a song that you connect with your wedding or other monumental life event?

Heck yes, but it's a silly story! My husband and I had picked U2's "All I Want Is You" as our first dance song. It was on a new album that year, and U2 is Mark's favorite band. We get to the reception, and the DJ is all apologies; he didn't have the song in his repertoire and was unable to find it as a single (keep in mind, this was pre iPods, streaming, or single-song-on-the-internet sales :D). As a replacement, he played Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U". Have you listened to that song?! Not exactly romantic, but we like both Sinead and Prince so okay.

Fast forward a year, and we were spending our first anniversary at the wedding of a friend of mine. She and her new husband were nice enough to make an announcement that it was our first anniversary and had their DJ play a song for us. She remembered what had happened the year before and asked him to play the U2 song. Time for the dance comes up and..."Nothing Compares 2 U" :D He didn't have the U2 song either (scandalous, to my mind, since this was a big Catholic wedding in Boston--lol).

I guess we can claim both songs, like it or not :)

How many dogs have you had in your lifetime?
