I am a CNC machinist and the company I work for allows us to listen to iPods or cell phones with one ear bud in if we want. So I spend most of my weekend's listening to books. I can knock out at least one large book in a weekend. Its a great way to pass the time, much better than listening to the same old songs on the radio.

I often listen to short stories podcasts when I'm painting, I find that short stories are easier to listen to when you're doing something, they require less involvment than novels do. However I never listen to any SK material because I just worry I might miss some important details whenever my mind wanders to something else.

This is a great place to find short stories podcasts by the way

Thanks for the link. I've bookmarked it and will definitely have a listen to some of those.

LOVE audiobooks. I can check them out from the library's website and download them onto my MP3 player. They were a lifesaver when I was commuting 70 miles each way to work. Now I load up on them before going on a long trip back home. Mr. Mercedes is actually the most recent one I've listened to.

That's where I get most of mine! Or Audible. It's a great site

I listen to my audiobooks during my commute to and from work everyday. My drive to and from work is usually the most peace and quiet I get during the work week...lol
