I've only read one of these books, The Passage by Justin Cronin. Though there aren't zombies in this book, they use a breed of vampires instead, it's a great read.

You should read, if you are interested in post apocalyptic and zombies, M. J. Careys book The Girl With All The Gifts. Great book and the best character in the book is a zombie!!!
