From the good ol Midwest
My husband shopped at target on 11/25. This was supposedly before the breach. Our bank cancelled his card just to be safe. He was miffed that he had to wait on another card.(came today) I am so glad I cancelled mine when I did. Unfortunately, one of the teachers at my daughter's school lost her whole account. My daughter told me she was crying. So sad. I hope they catch the person or persons who did this.

I just find it so disturbing that a huge corporation like Target can not protect their shoppers from their credit card information being breached.

Oh, this is just the beginning, I'm afraid. Cyber attacks are going to become more frequent. I heard Admiral Mike Mullen speak the other night (he was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Bush and Obama and coordinated the raid on Osama Bin Laden) and he said cyber attacks are a huge threat to national security. He said if people hacked into government defense sites, power grids, transportation networks, financial institutions, etc… they could possibly shut down the whole country. It's really scary if you think about it.

I'm starting to get really tired of the hackers that phone us about one or twice a week to tell us that there is something wrong with our computer etc, etc.
At first we (the kids and I) had a lot of fun with them, competing with each other for the best 'string-a-long story' (I know... we're horrible  ) but now I'm just getting sick of the inconvenience of the calls during busy times, so they're pissing me off. Plus how many innocent people actually fall for this sh1t?

My boyfriend works for Target and he signed up for the Target Credit card but was denied (can anyone tell me how you can get a credit card?!) so I guess it's a good thing he was denied but now he thinks we should get new debit cards! Is that being too paranoid or is that a good idea?!
