I found this on the internet.... most of the other suggestions are for BEFORE you cook .... I normally just run my vent at full blast and open all the windows! I am not "permitted" to cook cabbage or broccoli in my home because of the smells! Also, made a Chinese dish with Sesame Oil and that is also now on the "banned" list!

5. Leave a bowl of vinegar, baking soda or coffee grounds on the counter overnight.

on the serious side- small bowls of vinegar placed around the kitchen. It absorbs the odor.
Cut potatoes in half and place in rooms, again it absorbs the odor.
Use a pot on stove or better a slow cooker: water, cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla extract. Slow cook and the house smells wonderful

Unrealistic solution: move!

Any thoughts on getting the smell of vinegar, rotting potatoes, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla out of the house?

I believe that was mentioned......:D

Remove cabbage from house.

This is what is so troubling to me. My boiled dinner was sans cabbage, so I'm at a loss.......

I'm going to add this to my recipes. My house smells okay but this sounds really great.
