Probably not the one you mean, but the only one I can think of is Young Frankenstein.I liked the one where they were in the haunted house. What movie was Putting On The Ritz in?
"Puttin' on the Ritz" in Blue Skies (1946) - Fred AstaireProbably not the one you mean, but the only one I can think of is Young Frankenstein.
Don't thank me. Thank IMDB. That's where I go to look these things up when I don't know them. Thanks Marsha and Sharon. I loved Fred Astaire.
...still the legendary version...Probably not the one you mean, but the only one I can think of is Young Frankenstein.
That was the first one I thought of, too! (love Fred and Ginger though) - he makes dancing look effortless and like he is having so much fun....still the legendary version...
Yeah - that one was kinda cute - with Christopher Walken as the husband!Liked Hairspray. Not the john waters version but the one with john Travolta playing the the overweight mother. That was fun.
The Birdcage is not a musical. It is based on the French movie La Cage aux Folles. There was a Broadway musical based on the French movie, but The Birdcage is not based on the musical.
Well, that was confusing!
Oh, to answer your question, yes, I like musicals. We just saw Pippin on Broadway. It was wonderful!
Cringe worthy is what came to mind when I watched that. Also, the only episode I ever watched of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was the musical one, and I thought it was creative and exceedingly well done.
Many years ago on HBO (I think), there was this silly movie called "The First Nudie Musical." It had Cindy Williams (I think that was her name) of Laverne and Shirley fame (she was Shirley)(I think)(no, she did not get nude, at least in the parts that I saw). Obviously targeted to prurient interest by the title (so you might ask why I was watching it other than prurient interest or idle curiosity, and I have no answer. I just know I did), it turned out to be a fairly amusing cheesy comedy with decent musical numbers.
