Anyone notice a lot of thematic overlap in recent King novels?

I was going to mention the SK universe, but you have done a very fine job.

Yeah, but that's okay by me for the following reason: in the "world of the weird," it's probably likely that there is a nebulous force somewhat akin to George Carlin's "The Pile" skit that trolls if not the real cosmos, Stevie's fun imaginary one. This "force" is part bloodhound, and once it "sniffs out" weird goings-on, it gloms on to some (not all) of the characters who have been touched by this weirdness in one novel, and hitches a ride with them into one or more others. As to why it "infects" certain characters and not others, I'm tempted to reply, "Only the shadow knows," but the truth is: only Stevie knows.

Yep, his books often overlap with similar themes. I just purchased a copy of Under the Dome for one dollar at my library. Got chatting to someone whilst waiting for a Starbucks coffee, she told me she had been to Maine, had stood outside Stephen's house and taken pictures. She said there was a whole crowd of people, but apparently he wasn't home at the time. Oh, so lucky. I'm saving my pennies to go....lol. Forogot to mention, she said their were gargoyles on the gates!! Wow.
geez that is sort of creepy to just wait outside someones house? dont people understand privacy? lol. how annoying!
