I've yet to read Claiborne, Cujo, Shawshank, and Stand By Me, so can't compare those. I feel it safe to assume that in each case, though, the book is superior to the movie.
Dammit. I was up all night working. That's my excuse.I haven't read Stand By Me either, but The Body was very similar........

I've only seen the movie versions of those. I'm a late bloomer, didn't start til I was 53. Plus, I'm a slow reader. I'm not like most CRs. I'm more of a NVCR (Not Very Constant Reader). Finishing up Mr Mercedes, tho, and consider it arguably the best written of his works that I've read, so far.Really? I thought you'd read all of those.

Getting out of bed.Slow and steady wins the race . . .
The most important thing is that you read and it doesn't have to be constant.

Getting out of bed.
Getting chores done.
Uptaking.
