Apt Pupil and Richard Bachman

"Different Seasons" is easily my favorite King collection, so I'm certainly not complaining about what was included, but having recently re-read it I got the feeling that "Apt Pupil" could have easily worked as a Bachman book. Does anybody else think so?

I was thinking Bachman almost all the way through! I thought there might be a reference in the Afterword but none that I noticed. Just finished The Body, getting ready to start the "Similar Season" story, as he calls it.
