I'm looking for art in art ... inspiration in the details, not treating it as something to be auctioned off piece by piece, or pour the universal solvent of deconstructive criticism over the worthy work that draws me to learn from it by what it imparts, not from what I can beat out of it.... If I think something was done for mercenary and/or political means, with quite a bit less than artistic motives, I might complain about it, and point out that it does more harm to further variations on the composition in question, not less...

So, you are saying that art is less noteworthy when it has political roots?

No, I'm saying that when a political change is shoehorned into a work of art that is already making the same political statement, that double jeopardy nullifies the message, especially if it was done for political motives that had nothing to do with art.... hey this didn't get shoved in here, and it didn't get shoved in there, so let's try to make it fit here. Sorry, this is already wired together . . to yank out everything now to fit that circuit board in there would make this artwork non-functional, or malfunctioning until it quits working.

Also, if you're pulling something apart without understanding its intent to better sell it, or so you think, then the pieces you auctioned off become worthless because they don't work deconstructed and separated from their counterparts...

Oh, btw, I was listening to Great White doing the updated version on youtube, theres several parts where he kinda sing song talks, and its very different from the original though the lyrics and the music are mostly the same ...still probably not what you're thinking of but maybe sorta?
