Whenever i hear jar i think of Eleanor Rigby by Beatles "waits at the winding, Wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. Who is it for?" Paraphrased????
Paul McCartney song "Eleanor Rigby" is a story about an old lonely woman. "Wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door" is a reference the cold-cream she wears in an effort to look younger.

Love the French term "Moi aussi" . When we were being taught French back in the day I had a good friend whose nickname was Aussie (Richard Austerfield). It just reminds me of him everytime I hear. Unfortunately he died in a motorbike crash a long time ago.
Poor guy - sorry to hear this - we had a teacher in grade six who was from England - it was her task to teach us a half hour of French every day (can you believe it?)

She would hold up a picture of a strawberry and instead of asking us to say out loud "Fraise" :strawberry: she would tell us it was a "Framboise" :emmersed::laugh::beguiled:

Havent you heard it, Flake? It is a really sad song. "Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that noone will hear. Noone comes near. Who is it for? All the lonely people, Where do they all come from?"
I knew of the song but hadn't really listened to the lyrics before... it's pretty sad.
(I'm not Eleanor Rigby... y'all! :biggrin2: )

A signed copy of Rose Madder under the tree (or so I suspect). Not a bad year with four signed copies of Revival from my tour of S. Portland, Maine (home of the chocolate moose!).
