I think I am going to listen to a few SK Audio books, I prefer to physically read a book but for driving/commuting etc I think I would like it.

In my experience with Audio books (fairly limited) it really depends on the narrator, have you guys listened to many and are there ones that you find better than others and Does Stephen narrate any of his own books?

I have listened to almost all of his audio books. I think the best narrations were IT, Carrie, Christine, and Duma Key. Stephen King has narrated On Writing, Needful Things, and Bag of Bones.

Thank you those are the ones I will listen to first :)
You're welcome. Christine is a personal favorite. Holder Graham injected a lot of life into it. You're right about a narrator making or breaking a book. I have listened to the audio versions of books I liked but the narrator either put me to sleep or had some quirk I found annoying. Let us know what your opinions are.

I listened to The Stand and it was awesome. I mainly do audio books because I can listen at work in big chunks and I can usually knock out 2 or 3 books a week. If they are 10 to 12 hours long. The Stand and It took quite a bit longer. All the King books Ive listened to are very good

One of my favorite audiobooks of all time is Duma Key, read by John Slattery. The story is so good and Slattery really brings it and the characters to life.

I'm having a hard time with Bag of Bones. If I lose focus for half a second, it starts to sound like King is talking about his own career.
