Thought my fellow King fans might appreciate this beautiful picture of the aurora borealis over Acadia National Park in Maine, taken just last Friday. Did any of our Maine residents manage to see this in person?

Stunning! Darn...angels messed it up...was scheduled for Uncle Steves birthday. 
My daughter said she saw it on her way to work very early Saturday morning. Greens shimmering on the horizon......

Saw a meteor trailing fire and smoke explode into 3 pieces in the sky over my house, mid-day, a few years ago... That was pretty cool.

I've seen them here before but it's been at least 7 or 8 years ago, maybe closer to 10. That memory thing again.

That is one of my life long ambitions, to witness this beautiful phenomenon in person. I'm am so jealous of people who live in or near the arctic circle. I bet Neesy can look out of her bedroom window and see them all the time in winter over in Manitoba.

JoJo, keep checking the news around the time that you're traveling for word on sun storms and sun flares. When those happen, the aurora makes its appearance.

Actually I wish I could, but I am in the city of Winnipeg so the city lights would obscure them. I did see some up near Gimli and Hecla Island which is north of Winnipeg and more isolated.
This picture is what my husband gets to see way up North in Baker Lake, Nunavut
