Some time ago, Sergei Polunin did an amazing dance to Hozier's Take me to church. Since then, he's been quite the hot property, appearing on Ellen

and featuring in a forthcoming movie - this is just a teaser, sadly. It shows him putting on makeup to cover his tats, a few stunning moments of him onstage (from the wings) and him being a tad winded in his messy dressing room after.

All ballet dancers awe me with what they can do, but there's something especially amazing about this guy.

He reminds me a lot of a young Baryshnikov--the athleticism, and the fearlessness about mixing classical ballet moves with contemporary ballet. That sort of talent brings tears to my eyes.
I've compared him to Baryshnikov, too. There hasn't been such an extraordinary ambassador for men in ballet since. This kind of talent is a rare and wonderful thing.

...I am no fan of ballet, but I appreciate the art form for what it is...and those mentioned have taken even my jaded breath away when I've chanced upon a performance....

I say it would be great fun to watch you perform a ballet, Scott. (I don't mean for that to be a joke. Most ballet dancers are so tiny...I'd like to see someone with real stature dance like that.)
