So my wife and I are finally under contract to purchase a home in Bangor! Cue the balloons! Every once and a while groups of people get together from this site to go to a King location (like the Overlook location, etc.). It is our intention to get our new place, upon closing, setup to host visitors and perhaps get a mini-gathering/convention going for kicks. So if anyone has any plans or ideas about such a convergence, we would love to talk about the season in which it should take place and so on.

Hello Robert Gray, I'm sorry you are forced to buy a new house but I am glad it is in someplace you'll like. All the best, mal.

Well we wanted to buy one.... been looking for just the right one for some time. Sadly the one on West Broadway was a bit out of our price range... :D But we like the one we got and will make it proper.

I get the room in the basement that has a curiously wrought door at the back that leads into the sewers under Derry.. If you don't see me for a while, hang on,I'll be back..

You know, I hadn't actually thought about that but I am so adding a small, child sized door with the appropriate look to a wall some where in our own private Barrens Overlook.

Congratulations--very exciting! Have been meaning to get in touch to see how the house hunting was going but the summer has gotten away from me.

No worries. We have been quiet because we know how busy things have been judging by the stuff on the boards. :D Right now we are just in the planning stages of what we are going to do to change the place the minute the closing is complete. Lots to do. It suffices to say you will be one of the first people we invite to check it out. I'm kind of excited because this year... this Halloween... I will be writing my part of the Halloween exercise in my own home in Bangor, overlooking the actual Barrens. It will be very surreal. Best of all, we will be able to give candy to trick'r'treaters.... decorate properly... and feel permanent rather than on an extended stay.

Look forward to seeing it when you're ready!
