Since baseball cave has been on seems lot of interest and lots of different topics so I though I would add this one but give it it's own thread.
R u in favor or against the dh. I'm kinda split in the matter but one thing I wish is that they made the same rule for both leagues. Either dh across the board or pitchers hit across the board. It changes the game in so many ways. Ofcourse the obvious is the game strategy is so different, but also it effects the players stats . A pitcher in the American League might have a higher Era than a national league pitcher but he has to face a very good hitter in replace of a horrible hitter. Also AL Pitcher can pitch inside, chin music, brush off or even hit batters with immunity bc he never has to hit. A NL Pitcher has to hit so he knows he might be taking a 96mph fastball right at em so he doesn't have free reign.
Purists will say in favor of pitchers hit. But the league has fallen from number 1 to 3. League needs action for the entertainment of game and scoring. DH provides that. Purists love to see a pitching dual of 1-0 game. But new people would be bored to death and probably wouldn't become a fan. So it spreads out on different reasons for it or against it.
Wondering your thoughts. I doubt sk reads these threads but being a fan it be interesting to see what side of fence he is on.
