Sox are tied for first with the "Blah" Jays!

Roadtrip has gone much better than I anticipated. I'll take the 7-2 but they could easily be 8 - 1 on the trip. Bullpen is still giving me heartburn but we are now 17 games over .500. Making a nice push here. Just need to get some distance between us and the Jays.

I'm anticipating the Cubs winning the NL. AL is up in the air. I'm hoping the Sox take it but it's too tough to call. Cleveland and Texas are both good. If the Sox starting pitching holds up they can out score any team in the league.

A Cubs / Red Sox WS would be cool!

Not the same as it would've been in 2004.

Yankees' new kid - Sanchez - is tearing up the league (not that it matters at this point).

Red Sox are calling up their top prospect Yoan Moncada for the stretch run. He is their top prospect and is ranked 1 or 2 prospect in all of baseball by most experts. He will probably being playing third as that position has turned into a black hole offensively.

The bullpen is still the thing that concerns me most. Getting from the starter to Kimbrel has been fraught with disaster. Need the bullpen to step it up if this team is going to do anything in the postseason.

The first deadline was the non-waiver trading deadline. Which means the players in question don't have to clear waivers before they can be traded.

Trades can still be made after that deadline but the players involved have to be placed on and clear waivers. While on waivers, any team can claim the player. The team the player belongs to can either pull the player back from waivers or award the player to the team that claimed him. That team would then have to assume the player and their contract. If multiple teams put in a claim, the player would be awarded to the team with the worse record.

If the player clears waivers, they can then be traded to any team.

And I thought the game took place on the field. Silly me!

But on a brighter side, it means my memory is correct that we got Barney in September last year.

Sox alone in 1st in the AL East.

Weekend showdown with the Jays coming up.

I don't think, the Boo Jays will be much of a problem for the Sux.
NL East better watch out - Tebow is in the house. I guess, with the weather getting colder, the Mets need to keep their benches warm too.
