Red Sox gone. D-Backs gone. Hopefully it will be a Dodgers/Indians World Series... With the Dodgers taking it all.

As long as it’s not the Yankees I dont’care who wins it.

Hoping the Sox early exit leads to Farrell getting the boot. He should have been gone three years ago. However, it would have been bad form to fire someone going through chemo.

Aaaaand he's gone. I wish him well in his future endeavors. Now maybe we can get someone on the same level that Tito was.

.....and a Dodgers win! :D
You bet your sweet bippy. :p

My uncle played on both the Brooklyn and LA Dodgers, and the Yankees. But he really enjoyed being part of the Dodgers, and the Dodgers are my wife's family's team. When we got married her father, the self-described greatest Dodger fan ever, was really excited when he found out my uncle would be at the wedding. At the reception he didn't care one bit about us and spent the entire time talking to my uncle about baseball and his favorite players of all time. My father-in-law says it was the greatest day of his life... Nothing to do with us getting married, but rather the chance to talk baseball with a favorite player of his.

One of the few good memories I have with my dad is watching the Dodgers win the 1981 World Series..... what a team they had back then!

Tell me about it! I hear about that series almost every week from the father-in-law... And their losses in 1977 & 1978 World Series to the Yankees. The FIL hates the Yankees. The Dodgers/Yankees rivalry was one of the best rivalries in MLB history, when the Dodgers were located in Brooklyn. The two teams have met eleven times in the World Series. An even dozen sounds good to me.

Francona never should have been fired from the Sox in the first place.

I’m hoping they give Varitek a shot.

I'd LOVE to see Tek as the Sox skipper. He's got a good baseball mind, and he's not that far removed from his playing days so I think there'd be more respect for him among the players. Plus, catchers make the best coaches/managers. They're the smartest players on the field. The fact that I played behind the plate all my life has on bearing on me making this statement! ;;D
