So, I see a link at the bottom of the forum page, but do I wait until I've read the book? Started the book?

I just bought it today and plan to start it tonight, but I'll probably only read a few pages each night.

I didn't want to open Jordan's thread about this because I do not want to read spoilers. That's also why I have not clicked that link so far.

No, I believe you needn't have read Mr. Mercedes to proceed into The Basement. But I believe you'll need to have watched the associated video, which can be found via a link in the thread titled The Basement which Jordan started...

There are a few mild spoilers within The Basement itself, but I'm finding that it's actually enhancing the story if anything. (I'm currently on page 147)
