I think Freddie should get an Emmy. He is so good, totally believable and I think a really terrific forerunner to Anthony Perkins.
I agree. He is doing an amazing job. He envelops you in to that character. Shows like this don't get recognized hardly ever by the Emmy's and I don't understand. Walking Dead never gets nominated and there is some great acting on there as well. I almost fell over when AHS people were nominated. And won!

We know that Psycho is based on Ed Gein. But has anyone read the book? Do we know in the book how Norma dies? Not how Ed Gein's mom died in real life, but the fictional mom.
I read it. It's great and the original movie is very faithful to it.
In the book Norma and her lover are murdered by Norman. The subsequent trauma of Norman's guilt is what causes him to adopt his mom's personality.

Are you watching the show blunty?
Do you know if the lover in the book is in the show? Is it a character in play right now?

The lover was mentioned only briefly in the explanation of why Norman was a multiple personality. He wasn't named or described in any way such as profession, appearance, or how he and Norma got together.
