Are you usually the last person you know to watch the film or tv programme that everyone has already seen?

I found my Scrubs boxed sets and remembered that I discovered Scrubs years after everyone else.
In no particular order:
Charmed
Hunger Games
(just the first film, thank you)
Every Jason Statham film
X-Men 1 and 2

Night at the Museum
The Mummy
Shrek
(excuse: in and out of hospital for most of 2001)
Or are you that lone voice among your crew who didn't like/want to watch a crowd pleaser or cult rave(for instance):
The Usual Suspects
The Wire
The Lion King
Breaking Bad
Mad Men
Toy Story 3

True Grit remake (the original was beyond wonderful)
What would be on your lists (maximum 7). Thanks!:shake:

As far as your late to the party list, I've seen a couple of Jason Statham films but I've not seen anything else on that list (not even Shrek). I'm not late, I didn't even show up. ;-D

On your lone voice list, I love 4 out of the 7 you don't like.

Well . . . I don't get cable TV in my home and the last time I went to the movies it was in another country. When I watch, I tend to watch videos, and I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I would rather watch reruns of The Bob Newhart Show than almost anything produced since, but to put a little spin on your list, here are a few movies and shows I wish I had seen when people were talking about them:

Birdman: Simply outstanding. Haven't seen anything remotely like it (which is a good thing).

Guardians of the Galaxy: Just fun. Really just a lot of fun.

Breaking Bad: An obvious choice, but I would not have been able to stand waiting a week for the next episode.

Toy Story III: No. It is not alright for a grown man to cry! Wait . . . yes it is.

Dexter: We've all got revenge fantasies. It's okay to admit that.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: How great would it be to be able to tell people exactly what you thought all the time?

I used to be in on the cutting edge of music and TV shows. I would drop a band or TV show when it became too popular; that's how "cool" I was. :barf:To this day, I have only seen the first season of Seinfeld because of how popular it became. That said... I still keep pretty current with music but for TV and movies, I probably haven't seen anything you all discuss on these boards. I have never seen one second of Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Walking Dead, etc. I just don't have the interest anymore.

From about 1994 to 2000 I hardly watched TV at all, and just read books, so I am definitely behind the times for most things.

I only recently discovered the series "Castle" and now have recorded the series, so I am not "behind the curve" or "on the sidewalk". I think I am out back, chopping wood or stargazing, it seems :distracted:

Took me a couple of years after everyone else to understand the greatness which is Breaking Bad. Same with Sons of Anarchy, which is AMAZING, Shakespearian (and, of course, features a small cameo by SK himself, as well as quite a few references I believe must be to SK's works), and which we just finished a couple of weeks ago. Actually lost sleep over the last couple of episodes, they were so haunting and fraught. Just finished Mad Men this week. We were late to the Game of Thrones party, as well (oh, so fantasy-nerdy), although we were caught up by the time the third season started. Just started Season 5 last night.

Never saw The Wire or Oz. Husband watched 24 for a while before we were married. I never did. I saw about ten minutes of Lost and that was enough for me.

Anyone else into Peaky Blinders?

I was one of the last people on Earth to get on The Walking Dead bandwagon.
It's a very small bandwagon. . in fact, it's so small, it's probably made of Lego:

Most people who think that everything zombie is crazy.
So we're a minority - yay!

Pity, some of the nicest people anywhere in the world like zomfiction or write zombfiction, ditto post-apocalyptic fiction.

And guess who inspired them.. .:feel_good:
