I liked the fact that 'Benson' didn't bow down to anyone. That was a bold move at that time on the producers part.
The Circle of Life, he was the voice of Rafiki in The Lion King. Man, my kids watched that one a lot in the old VHS days..

Oh no. I watched the show in late night re-runs for a while. Benson was an interesting takeoff on the old 'Jeeves' character. 89 though. Man! That generation was made tough. Our 80's icons, still in their 40's and 50's are dying off like flies.
No idea he reached that age.
Man... that completely transported me back! Ahhh youth, slipping away with each and every loss.
