I've seen vids from that tour. His dancing was perfect in the mid-90s. The opening of Scream/They Don't Care About Us/In the Closet must have been breathtaking to witness in person.
It was. I regret to this day that the T-shirt i bought as a memento is lost somewhere. He was absolutely astounding. It was so much more than just the music. His dancing... the whole show, it was so much more than a performance.

I saw U2 on the Zoo TV tour. It was OK. Joshua Tree tour was much better.
Well, I think it depends on what the fan likes. Joshua Tree tour was about the music and passion. ZooTv combined visuals, drama, and music in a story (of sorts). Bono's mid-range was stronger on the Joshua Tree tour but his falsetto was impeccable in the early '90s.

It's always subjective.

Bono started with the whole The Fly persona on that tour. That's when I started to not dig U2 anymore.

My very first was Queensryche. They came to the little 'ole Bangor Auditorium in 1991 and put on a great show. Played the entire Operation Mindcrime set and a few from Empire.
Two of my favorites were when I was in Germany. Metallica and Rock am Ring which MTV did. That was a three day festival with some European bands and folks like Megadeth, Slash, Ugly Kid Joe, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Hootie and the Blowfish(before anyone knew who they were). We slept in the car and didn't shower for three days. Fabulous!
Went to one the weekend before last in Bangor called Rise Above Fest which was pretty fun. I love Godsmack and they did a great job. Seether, Slash, Papa Roach, and a couple of others.
Bangor is bringing in some good people. Hitting up Van Halen in July!

Who’ve you seen live? Any particular memories?

Out of original Musicians, I’ve seen Weird Al Yancovic and The BoDeans. I’ve seen quite a few cover bands as well, mostly Beatles, but also ones for Led Zepplin and Rush.

I also believe I am going to see ZZ Top and Bad Company with Cheap Trick in May when they come here.

Thursday November 3rd, 1994. Got to see Nine Inch Nails in Tulsa, OK at the Expo Center. One of the haziest, but greatest nights of my life. Best concert I've ever been to, hands down. I think the statute of limitations should be expired on everything that occurred that night but I'm not completely sure...lol

ZZ Top and Jeff Healey in Little Rock, AR in 1988. Mad Dog 20/20 and myself danced and it won, readily and thoroughly.

June 3rd, 1995 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at Sandstone Ampitheater, Bonner Springs, KS. First concert I attended with my, at the time, girlfriend who eventually became my wife, now ex-wife. There were eight of us, 4 couples, and we took three vehicles, rented hotel rooms for the weekend, cooked out on the grills at the hotel in this common area outside and we just all had a very cool weekend. The concert was amazing and we sat out till damn near daylight afterwards back at the hotel just talking and smoking a bunch of cigarettes.......dammit now I want cigarrette...I HATE being a non-smoker some days.....ok, most days.....ok all days...

Cypress Hill in Dallas, TX. I can't remember what year or much else about that concert..lol, just that the first thing the lead singer did was fire up a joint the minute he took stage. It had to be somewhere between 1994 and 1997?

Firehouse, Tesla, and Trixter in Fort Smith, AR 1989-ish.

Almost forgot, Ozzy Osbourne in Lampe, MO in 1992. Opening acts were Blind Melon and Alice in Chains (my favorite band of all time). Blind Melon cancelled so Alice in Chains went on earlier than expected. My dumb ass roommate at the time got home late from work, so as we're running into the concert, we hear Alice in Chain's encore "Man in the Box". I was pissed to the point of almost strangling my roommate. I like Ozzy and he was awesome but I'd wanted to see Alice in Chains more than anything.

Being a teenager in the 70s was pretty awesome at times. Some 70s shows (I can remember :))

Aerosmith (1977)
Thin Lizzy (1977)

Jethro Tull (1978or 1979)
AC/DC (with Bon Scott) (1979)
Bob Dylan (1979)
Yes (1979)
Journey (1979 - Steve Perry had just joined - we thought Greg Rollie was going to be singing :))
Jimmy Buffett (1979)
George Benson (1979)
Uriah Heep (1978)
Rod Stewart (1979) (I know, but he used to be different :))
