If you didn't watch it the show last night but you think you might - well, I have to put pretty much my whole comment in a spoiler so you can elect not to read it.

I was pretty happy with their easing out of Mrs. Wolowitz. I was hoping that they wouldn't try to find someone to replace Carol Ann Susi and let the character die with her, as proper recognition and homage to Ms. Susi.

And the final scene was touching but with a humorous little topping, which was just the right note in the show for me.

It would've been nice.

But they did have that back in November after Ms. Susi succumbed to cancer.

I realize I am missing the point of this whole thread (RIP Carol Ann Susi AKA Mrs. Wolowitz) however - this is pretty cool!

- is that really Nathan Fillion from "Castle" - I have been recording that show for a while now as I somehow missed it the first time around.

Unfortunately I did not catch last Thursdays show so maybe I can watch it on a rerun.

Yeah. He played himself. Raj and Leonard meet him in a diner when he was having lunch. Pretty funny scene!

Yes, it is, but not because of Castle. It's because of his really good work as the ship's captain in Firefly, a sci-fi series that was underappreciated and still beloved by its fans (like the guys in BBT), enough to have finally spawned its own movie (Serenity). I'm not an acolyte, but that was a really good series. Joss Whedon did a great job.

Loved that show! I have the season on DVD as well as the movie, Serenity. Sort of cowboys in space.

There was a scene in Castle (I think, it was season 1) where they had a Hallowee'n episode and Castle dressed as his character from Firefly. His daughter, Alexis, said something like "Really? Space cowboy was so five years ago".

You need to watch it from the start. Honestly, it's TV scifi at its best. We got the series from Eldest Son, going, "Yeah, yeah, okay, we'll see what it's about," and by the end of that weekend, when we decided that we needed to shower, deodorize, and eat something not out of a package, we figured it was a pretty good series.

Okay, away from all that....

Some of my favorite shows have been with the moms, Sheldon's and Leonard's (and truthfully, particularly Leonard's). Tomorrow, they meet.

I was thinking about it and, in my own way, gauging how difficult that would be for the writers of the show. "We want the moms to meet. Now think of dialogue to sustain a show for a half hour between a faithful Christian fundamentalist and a cynical scientific atheist, and make it funny."

We'll see how it goes. Don't want to miss it.

And as Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog :) That show is silly fun--our whole family loves it.
