The woods are lovely dark and deep
We don't party. Gave that up years ago, Staro! Not a lot to celebrate really. I hate to be a downer, but I could care less right now.
Me too, I just want it over with. The false good cheer drives me nuts. I will send BH to bed and have two glasses of Chardonnay while watching my favorite soap which I DVRd this afternoon; mass tomorrow and then lets get on with 2015.

Happy Anniversary Scott and Tracy! Have a wonderful celebration on Saturday!

Since we aren't night owls and can't make it to midnight, we always go out to dinner on New Year's Eve. This year, we're eating at our favorite chinese restaurant. Over dinner, we always talk about our regrets from the past year and share our resolutions for the coming one. It's a nice mellow way to say goodbye to the old and usher in the new.

The biggest! We make horrible-for-us appetizer foods that we only eat on NYE (lol), play games, listen to 80s music, and watch movies until midnight :) The kids might even all be here this year--two oldest don't have parties (as of right now) for the first time in a few years, #3 is getting sick so she's staying home, and LilMan is only 8. I love this kind of NYE :) My fur baby has a UTI, too, so someone would have to be here to let her in and out a jillion times, anyway.

That sounds awesome! (Well, not the child being sick or poor dog.) Dance a song or two for me!

Happy New Year! Hugs!

Another miserable stay-at-home old b'stard here! I gave up on partying years ago.

No doubt the old dribble will turn in early and I'll be sat up on my own reading Revival until the early hours of 2015.

Happy anniversary Scott and Tracy. Here's to another 21... if you live that long!;;D
...that's awfully nice coming from a quasi-dead guy....

I'm glad it'snot just us staying home tonight. I have some truly awful memories of NYE. Drunk father picking fights, etc. Got better when I started babysitting. Had a few years of wild nights myself. Now, quite happy to be home with hubby and son and some movies. There may be suspicious beverages. Outside ti say happy new year to the neighbors and back inside. Bed not much later.

That sounds great!

Hugs to you all.

Happy New Year!

Now that is a nice tradition. Makes way more sense too.
