The Cranes are Back (ok, not all of them)
Have a pair of Sandhills that fly over each morning and night.Ohmygosh that's a lot of cranes! We have just one large crane that hangs out on our pond, I think it's a sandhill crane. It sorta kinda looks like the blue heron that used to hang out except it's grey and much larger than the heron. I tried to get a photo of it yesterday but it flew off as soon as I opened the back door.

And they are loud, you hearthem Minutes before you see them.
It's always a Spectacle and everyone is glad, when they are back, because that means, Spring is coming

Ok, lets see this in a positive light
hmmmmmm... I guess our bird isn't a sandhill afterall. It doesn't have any red feathers on its head. Whatever it is, it's big enough to eat the fish in the pond. We stocked the pond a couple years ago and some of the fish are like 14 inches long now.
