I lived by a pond once. Canadian Geese. I bought corn to feed them

I could not leave for work in the morning after awhile... All of these babies would just hear the door open.... Gha.. They would come running at me like mad.

I was a funny site, unless you are running from them all.. They peck!
I had to be fast. They would have took me down.

I will never ever forget my guys here. Watched them hatch. Terrified each step they took. Don't fall!
ack! watched them on ustream eating what was brought into the nest. You got used to it after a while.. it took a good while for me to watch them eat. Some things were still alive.. errrrr

They did not all survive, But mom and dad go on. They are the Decorah Eagles. And they don't allow you to give them names. They were by tag numbers. Its only mom and dad and they are so great.

Mom took a beating to protect her babies.

One year I watched a nest of Eagles, waiting patiently for them to hatch. I think the first bunch didn't. So, started watching another Eagle Cam. The babies were older when I started watching, was very excited. And then slowly, slowly, slowly, it dawned on me that these birds would be eating other animals. Large animals sometimes. Not dead yet animals. I just couldn't watch anymore after that realization. I don't know why it took me so long to have that a-ha moment.

Yeah it was tough to watch . Damn, they even flew in a baby pig one time.

And some kind of leg of something. I just fell in love with the babies so much. God I watched them fighting over a squirrel tail. And one of the babies ate it up whole. I was horrified. And hoping the baby was ok after all that. Tug of war it was. ..

Hard to watch
