My friend Daniel is 50 soon and michael connelly is a fave with him. What i want to know what author is similar and good? I'd buy some titles then, and perhaps a bottle of something. But now i throw this question to you, Do you have any book suggestions?

I haven't read anything from him, but My BF loves Connelly. I'll ask him for some recommendations, and let you know what he thinks.
Dennis Lehane, James Lee Burke, Lee Child, and John Sandford.

Thanks you guys, I dont think i dare go with Child, he is very popular over here so Daniel probably read some of his but sandford is an idea. Haven't read him myself and is not as well known as Child. We'll see if i manage to find any of his.
I've read only three Connelly books, but thought of Ridley Pearson as a somewhat similar author. Especially books featuring the character Lou Boldt. Pearson is one of SK's Rock Bottom Remainders buddies.
