I am posting this here but I think that it should have its own entry under "Other works". I in fact cant believe that it don't already. I'd Tag Ms. Mod if I could remember how.

Anyways, did anyone else pick this album up from Shooter Jennings w/ Stephen King as the "Narrator / Radio show host"? It came out around March of 2010. And if so what are your thoughts?

I loved it, but with that said Its not anything id see most people listening to over and over but it was great hearing King between songs and it all flowed well and certainly worked as a concept album. I was constantly reminded of Adrienne Barbeau in Jon Carpenters original "The Fog". I listened to this whole album on a long drive one night and it set quite the eerie mood.

I have always wondered how this collaboration came about. I know Stephen is a big music fan, but I would like to know who reached out to who, I am guessing it was Shooter to King. Every time I go to a King event when there is a Q&A I think this is what I would want to ask about but I don't want to waste my time standing in the lines at the microphones for the slim chance that I might get to ask my question.

Curious as to everyone elses thoughts on this project, and also curious why I have never seen it mentioned here on this forum (I could of missed it tho).

It possibly should go there but we always considered it more of a Shooter Jennings project than a Stephen King one. Just as we only list his cameos on other shows lumped into one category rather than featuring them.

My recollection is that Shooter Jennings's representatives reached out to Stephen, knowing that Stephen was a fan.

To tag someone, type @ followed by their user name. Choices that match will show up and you can either select the appropriate one or just type in the name manually.

Thank you, as I know you have told me this before (how to tag) but I have since forgotten.

As for the Project, I certainly can see how you would categorize it as a "Shooter Project" but From my understanding Stephen wrote his parts and it was original, not something Shooter had just ask him to read, and there were drafts exchanged and edited. So in my opinion its sounds more like a joint effort and should be listed under other works, but that is just my two cents. Either way I wanted to bring it up and hear what others on here thought of it.

.....hmmm, like Shooter.....like Steve, so like I'd better find me a copy like right now....I might like it....

Wow, I thought you would be one of the few people on here that would have definitely heard it and owned it. You certainly should pick up a copy, you can find them cheap on ebay and amazon. I got my copy signed by Shooter when I went to his show, now I am just figuring out how to slip it between the pages of the next book at an upcoming SK signing!! That and my Signed Romero pic of him and Stephen on the set of creepshow.

Your point makes sense.

I got my copy as a gift. I lesson to it every once in awhile.

It certainly is one of those "every once in a while" listens for me as well. I like to forget I have it, then rediscover it give it a full listen and forget about it for 6-8 months.

Due to the lack of responses, does not look like many on this board either got it or liked it.
