Bob Dylan wins the Nobel Prize?

While meaning no disrespect to Dylan as a poet, or his music. But IMO the Nobel prize always seemed to me to be meant for authors of novels. I could be wrong, so if I am please correct me. I also think it brings down the prestige. Like giving rock stars knighthoods. Seems to be against the grain somehow.

I agree 100%.
It feels like the Nobel has been brought down to some MTV Awards Show level...at least to me.
And since you mention rock stars being knighted...Prince Will just knighted Rod Stewart.
Nothing against Bob or Rod, or Elton or whoever...it just doesn`t feel right.

I feel it's being a bit dumbed down. Again, no offense to anyone but ..... yeah.
