I remember when this song first started playing on the radio. My brother and his friends all said they hated it. Within two weeks they had all gone out and bought the album and played it over and over and over.......
...I can remember arguing with a niece when Wayne's World debuted that Rhapsody was NOT a new tune.......dammit!....

I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, and we were cruising around Southern California. Grandma was pregnant just a few months with our firstborn. Somewhere between the southeast gate of Pendleton and Vista, it came on. We were astounded and entertained. Just all the different movements going around. An instant favorite.

I don't remember the name of the road, the street, the highway, whatever it was, that we were driving at the time. But now when the song comes on, I flash back to driving that twisty, enjoyable California road with the blonde fox next to me, and it's always a good feeling.

Some songs become cliché with so much airplay over the decades, however, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody always sounds fresh to me. What a Rock music masterpiece!

I was lucky enough to see Queen perform on 1 May 1974 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A show I can still remember.
