Hi all,

I've just finished IT and I'm about to go onto my next book. I've been suggested Cujo, but I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions. So far I've read:
Salem's Lot
Firestarter
The Stand
IT

Also, (likely the more important one) is my friend. He is a slower reader than me, but he really would like to get into Stephen King and is quite enthusiastic about it. So far he's read:
Firestarter
Misery.

He was interested in The Dead Zone, It, or The Stand, but I'm not really an expert on what he should read and I was looking for opinions from people who have read more than I. Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the long post,
Zack.

By the way if you're confused, they don't have to be the same book for both of us.

Since your friend is a slower reader, and I wouldn't want to overwhelm him with a larger book. Not that he can't do that, but he needs to build up those reading muscles.

I would recommended The Long Walk to your friend.

Well, and you too. I know it doesn't have to be the same book, but it is an awesome story.

image.jpeg great idea Walt - one can read the Regulators- the other can read Desperation - then you could talk about the similarities between them / or just swap dust jackets!

or ...or... one reads the genuine - Old Testament "the Gunslinger" the other the New Testament - "the gunslinger"

I prefer the one where solo shoots first !

It's a bit of a departure but maybe try "The Green Mile" or even "The Eyes of the Dragon" (for either one of you) - they are both very good stories.
