Hi. I have decided I want to purchase some of these to start protecting my books. I have some gorgeous ones that I love. Not for collecting and selling purposes, but just for me. I want them to stay pretty.

For those of you who use them, could you tell me what I need to order? I looked at the site and got very confused. There is a pdf on how to decide, but I would like to hear opinions about the different types from you guys who have actually bought and used them.

Help please?!

Hi DJ! I just ordered some last week. If you're talking about the Brodart website, here's the stock # of the ones I use: 10 409 104. The size I get is 12" H by 24". These are the ones that have the slit in the middle of the paper backing. You just put the dj in the bottom part and pull the top portion over the top of the dj, making it snug. Easy peasy!

I have the Brodart covers on my Amazon wish list. 25 9-1/2" x 20" covers cost $15.49 + $7.99 shipping. Most of my SK jackets are 9-1/2" tall. The covers can also be adjusted to fit smaller jackets. It might be less expensive to order from Brodart but I'm wary of giving my card info to too many different companies so I pretty much order everything from Amazon.

Don't forget, Amazon is part of this Heartbleed virus.

I ordered 100 of the covers that I use from Brodart. Cost was around $41 with shipping included.

Well that's scary :( I hadn't heard about the heartbleed virus before your post. Thanks for mentioning it :) I googled around and some sites say Amazon isn't vulnerable and some say Amazon is working on fixing it. Whichever it is, I think I'll put off my order for now.

Regular Amazon accounts were unaffected. Amazon Web Services (AWS) accounts were affected. If you don't know what AWS is, your Amazon account wasn't at risk.

c/net is checking sites to see if the heartbleed bug has been patched and they're listing the sites.

Oh great "Daily Mail" and "CNN" say 'be on alert' - guess I can forgot about visiting those places!

We recently had our Visa card somehow accessed without our knowledge. I am glad my husband took out the extra coverage so we are not liable.

He called me from up North and said "Why is there 2000 dollars on the Visa? Now I am p*ssed!")

It turns out whoever did this was trying to buy stuff from "Scooter's Garage", "Sports Depot", and "Rodeo Video" - damn fraudsters!

The funniest one was that they tried to use it on "A.M.W." which turned out to be "America's Most Wanted" ????????? (What were they doing - checking their profile?) :umm:

Do these work on paperbacks? Or are these just for dust jackets? And if they don't work for paperbacks, how do you protect your paperbacks? Thanks.
Only works on hardbacks, luv. Don't really use anything on my paperbacks- for the most part they are a dime a dozen so to speak. But, on my 'Bachman' paperbacks, those ones I do put in plastic bags. I get those at comic book shops.
