I had a rather disturbing dream, and would like to know, does Stephen King, as a business venture, buy nightmares as story outlines, or does any other horror writer?
Stephen does not, as noted in the Writing section of the FAQ on the main portion of the site. There are a lot of horror writers out there--probably at least one of them would be willing to buy an idea but I have no information about one that does to pass along.

Welcome! :watermelon:

How trying your hand at writing something yourself?
I agree. Go for it. You might be pleasantly surprised. There are probably other parts to the potential story still stuck in the ol' brain matter, just waiting to ooze on out of there. Some of my most interesting stuff comes straight from dreamland.;;D A lot of good writing ideas, too.
That is what a lot of dreams are for, to provide insight into and help resolve conflicts in your life.:bat::eek::umm::dbl::love: Especially the ones that repeat. Once you figure out what message they are trying to give you, those will stop.
A lot of creative people keep a pad of paper, or miniature voice recorder on the night stand, to record inspiration, as soon as they wake up from a dream. When I was very young (10?), I dreamed an entire outer space movie, credits and everything. All I could ever remember is that it took place in a rocket ship.
