NBNP, I typed a lot and I actually did not answer your question... :D

I sometimes forget to check boards when I spend longer times reading or playing. In my usual schedule with less free time I read and play in shorter bursts, so I can do other things in between. But when going through an interesting book and having the time to actually stay with it then it is easier to just keep going until one realizes it is already late at night and the whole evening was spent doing nothing else.

And Neesy, thanks for the present. :beguiled:

We will have to talk about my tastes, though, which tend to be more "slim", less "muscular", and having more of a "pretty face" and "cool hairstyles". Just imagine someone growing up seeing Japanese animation protagonists as the standard of good looks, hahahaha.

Logan Lerman is a good example of my tastes, with Charlie Hunnam as an example of someone on the highest level of muscular that still fits into the standard. :biggrin2:

Thanks, guys! I had a good birthday. First half of it was at work, but then I spent it relaxing at home, then went out for pizza and pasta with my boyfriend (I always like to lay low on my birthdays, since there are already a lot of parties all year long).

Steffen, thanks for the tag. I had not found this thread and probably wouldn't if not for you.

NBNP, I have been resting from theater these last three months. It started in January because I spent Christmas time with my parents, so I could not rehearse for any projects that started in January. I also stopped going to some classes I had been taking for some years, so I started the year with only my job taking my time, leaving the rest of the day as free time.

It had been years since I last had the chance to spend so much free time however I wanted, I loved how I could finally get to read more or finish video games that had been waiting for years. So I have been trying to not get into a new play for the time being. I know I will eventually get into one, so I have to enjoy this different pace for as much as I can/want.

In this period I finished reading The Waste Lands (loved it) and received my boxed set with the 8 DT books (I previously had a set of the first 4 books and a loose copy of TWTTK, but I wanted a single set so I will give the old books to a friend).

Instead of going to the fourth book, though, I restarted reading The Stand (something I would definitely not do if I had less free time, because it is a large book). I am better at taking notes than I was when I first read it (was it last year?), so I should be able to get more useful data for more characters I would love to draw.

By the way, being better at taking notes means I stopped manually transcribing things and started taking pictures of the text with my cell phone. For this second time with The Stand I started using small pieces of paper with the name of the book and the character so I can more quickly see what each picture contains. Example:

The Stand.
Jess Rider.

You have so many different interests, it's sad you have to give one up in order to get some free time. Free time is important though. I'll bet your boyfriend is glad you've had more time for him lol.

We are both attracted to the same appearance. I like a little bit of muscle definition but not so much that the guy doesn't look good in clothing y'know? Somehow I ended up with a tall thin Texan with a Sam Elliot mustache... love is strange :)

That right there would have done it for me! ;;D

Of all my interests outside work, theater is the one that takes the most time and that cannot be "left for later" once I am in a project (just as a book, a video game or a drawing could be). I really needed some time away from theater because I may like it, but the body needs rest after a while.

I had to Bing Sam Elliott to see that moustache (normally, I'd Google him, but at work we have Internet Explorer and Google searches kind of freeze or take too long). He's Thunderbolt Ross from 2003's Hulk. =D

I'm not into moustaches, but I can see how it works for him. The whole package gives such a strong presence and authority, he is difficult to ignore.

As for me, I'd usually go for smooth guys with straight hair, but my boyfriend has curly hair and a hairy chest. He is cute, funny and his curly hair looks cool, so it's all fine. :D

Is that Ezra? He has a nice body, but I have never thought of his face as pretty (I go more for "cute" than for "handsome").

Here are some examples:

Ian_Somerhalder.jpg Ian Somerhalder.

Jared_Leto.jpg Beardless Jared Leto.

Jesse_McCartney.jpg Jesse McCartney.

Kim_Soo-Hyun.jpg Kim Soo-Hyun.

Logan_Lerman.jpg My Top-1, the best of the best, Logan Lerman.

Something weird is that, in my mind, I love blond hair (must be the influence of cartoons, with so many different hair colors, and blond being the closest thing), but every time I look at a list of actors/singers I like, most of them have dark hair.

I know!

A term that (I think) can easily describe those on that list is baby-faced. To some degree, all of them are.

I like how they can look younger than they are without needing surgery or things like that, which can end up making them look worse later, just look at Rob Lowe, someone who could have been on my list (he really looked good when he was young).

Edit: And yes. This means I find Justin Bieber attractive. I even enjoy his songs, even though I do not actively search for them.

Jared Leto and Justin Bieber also have that androgynous thing going for them :)

A long time ago, me and a male coworker both liked this guy who was a bit androgynous. He had those sparkly blue eyes with long lashes that could render you speechless. I won... sorta kinda... we only dated for a few months. Sparkly eyes was one of those people who complained about little things constantly. My coworker found someone better so he may have actually been the winner lol.

I cannot stand those people who are complaining all day long about everything, and those who blame others for their own acts. No matter how hot they are. And some of the ones I know are not hot at all. Even when I try to see the good in everything and everyone, it gets really hard to do it when looking at those people. :cold:

Good thing you didn't end up with him for too long. Just do what you have to do with him and let him go before he makes you a whiner like him. :D

By the way, androgynous looks are good. A lot of beautiful boys are like that. There's Cillian Murphy, just as another example.

There is a weird example, on the female side and the still-too-young side, too. When I was watching The BFG (which I did not completely like, something that surprised me), I thought the protagonist girl, Ruby Barnhill, was perhaps a normal-to-cute looking girl, but her face could have been that of a cute boy. I still see her now and think she could get roles playing boys (before she and said boy roles get too old). And it is not the short hair (lots of boys have longer hair than that). I think it must be a mix of the smile and the eyes/eyebrows. It will be interesting to see if this continues as she becomes an adult, and if it gets her into any "most beautiful" lists later on.

I forgot Cillian Murphy, he's interesting looking :) Sometimes it's a smile... I forgot the name of the actor who plays Captain Jack on Doctor Who and Torchwood but he's gorgeous when he smiles :)

Miley Cyrus is a bit boyish looking too, almost anime boyish. Boy howdy, I'd be up a creek if Japanese animation appearances became the standard for good looks. My bones are too large. I had wanted to be petite like Jackie but ended up as Donna (That 70's Show).

I borrowed from your avatar quote lol.

Hey, at least both look good. You could be non-petite like anime girls created by Leiji Matsumoto.

Whew - I came here for the birthday party and got myself all worked up over the lovely mens talk. Now I'm flush faced and wishing my Ogre would wake up. Hmmph.

I can find something handsome and endearing in most every man. I'm a card carrying member of the Boy Crazy Club. Bald is sexy. Long eye teeth .... faint. Tall, eye level. Deep voices and sincere smiles. Terms of endearment and gentle manners. Alan Rickman, Sam Elliot, Woody Harrelson, that Hunnam fellow, Bradley Cooper. Dave Matthews, Idris Elba. I could go on for days.

Happy Birthday and thanks for the hunk thoughts!
