WELP!

From one creative to another, I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in general be it more King stuff, original or another author! :D Keep it up!

Your style is neat.

First instinct would be to say manga-Japan-ish style but its not. Its kinda like a manga style mixed with a more kinda Mexican pastoral art or something? Forgive me if that's the wrong term.

I know the style that it reminds me of (besides Japanese comics and old kinda text book illustrations for reading) but I don't have a word for it....not much of an art student.

But I really dig it! :D

Also good on your avatar. Ain't that Impulse aka Bart Allen?

Thanks. I grew up watching Japanese cartoons (Remi, Candy Candy, Mazinger Z, and so on), so they did influence me from a young age.

I do not know what "pastoral art" is, Mexican or otherwise. Google tells me pastoral literature focuses in portraying life as simple instead of complex, so perhaps it is something like that? I am not good with terms, since I am not much of an art student, either.

And that is indeed Bart. I am more of a Marvel Comics guy, but I love Bart (and the other Speedsters, and Rogues, from the Flash family). Oh, and Batman and Wolverine bore me.

Can't say Batman bores me, I love Bruce lol but I do find The Flash Family more enjoyable, and I to love speedsters as well. WHOOOOOOOOSH! :D

From the second book of "The Dark Tower" series, "The Drawing of the Three", this is young Eddie Dean, sitting with his pants down in front of the airport and airplane staff.

A lot to be modest about.

Thanks to Lauren (laurengee) from DeviantArt for sharing the paisley paper stock I used for Eddie's shirt.

Cujo and friends, from "Cujo". Friends include Brett Camber ("the Boy") and Mr. Clean (the cat).

Cujo and friends.

You know how the 80s saw a lot of cartoons based on live-action movies and TV shows. Those cartoons were for kids, even if the source wasn't. Everything and anything was a candidate for a kids cartoon back then. There were some good shows, like "Ewoks" (I loved it, even if older people seem to hate the Ewoks) and "The Real Ghostbusters". Others were entertaining, even if they were very different than the original concept, like "Beetlejuice". Some others should never have been proposed, much less approved.

Anyway, in that decade, a movie like "Cujo" could have called the attention of more than one cartoon producer, I think.

Set two years before the main events from the novel, this show features Cujo, the huge St. Bernard dog that loves everyone and that everyone loves. He would have animal friends, and would speak to them (although humans cannot really understand him, with, perhaps, the exception of Brett, who gets an idea of what Cujo is thinking). Cujo would know Brett's name in this show, by the way.

Mr. Clean, the Cambers' cat, would still be alive. There would be a group of rabbits, all friends of Cujo, that love to play with him; they would race all over the place (causing disaster everywhere, of course, so the humans would not be fond of these games, especially since these rabbits live in the neighbor's area). A single bat would be part of the friends, too (he lives with other bats, but he is the only one that comes to play with Cujo; he would, of course, be almost blind in daylight.

In the second season, Mr. Clean would be removed from the cast without explanation.

Could we have a second season addition to the cast? What about a troublemaker crow named Randall?

We would get a cameo of Vic, Donna and Tad Trenton in the second season, too.

Other main humans would be Brett's parents, Joe and Charity, and his dad's friend Gary. No specific mention of Gary's war injuries would be made in the show, though.

Aaaaand... that's basically how you create an 80s cartoon based on any movie. :D

And now I'm thinking of a 90s live-action series called "Joe & Charity" (or just "Charity", I have to check that with the marketing team). ;;D

Spoiler!

Because of late-book events in "Under the Dome", the complete picture is under the spoiler tag. Don't forget to click on it only if you have already finished reading it (or if you don't mind spoilers).

They are Ollie Dinsmore and Private Clint Ames. Again. These kids left an impression in me, that's for sure.

I just wanted to hear a human voice again.

I want to believe in Mr. King's optimism and think that Ollie did survive in the end. But this is the same book where so many other people (and kids, and babies) died, and Ollie had gone through so much even before the fire. Breathing all those particles would have seriously damaged his lungs.

So maybe the optimism is just to realize Ollie died in the arms of a friend, and not all alone in a destroyed land.

I really want to believe he lived, though.

By the way, the Dome should be way more opaque by this point, with only a few spots where Private Ames could see Ollie. But I had already drawn him and did not want to cover him completely by an ash-filled wall.

Also, if Ollie looks like he's trying to say something, it's probably "get out of the way, Private Ames, you are blocking the air". :D

In the extremely unlikely event someone here has a Nintendo 3DS and the Colors! application, try to check this out in my gallery, to get the 3D effect (without it, the pic looks too plain, heheh).
