I learned a good lesson about trusting my memory when I haven't done something for a long time, which is don't! I should have watched the youtube video first to refresh myself on how to warp the loom instead of thinking "I've got this." Twelve hours later I still didn't have the yarn all untangled after removing it from the loom so that I could do it right after finally watching the video. The next day it only took me 90 minutes to get it ready and thought I'd be able to possibly get them done by the end of the day until I finally "got" what the instructions meant and had to order a different size yarn for the beginning and end of each towel. That should be arriving today so might be able to get going once I get home from work. Hopefully they turn out decent after all this. :D
So, maybe next Christmas!;-D Best of luck and always read/watch directions, even just a glance! Leave the "I got this!" for the boys!

I love your crafting studio! It is beautiful. I wish I had room for a big table like you have. Amazing!
Thanks! It's 4' x 8' as I wanted a big area to be able to lay out king size quilts and this should do it. As I was putting in all the other furniture, I was afraid it wasn't going to fit but I would have given up the other little table/chairs area if it came down to the choice of one or the other.

One thing I don't think I'll be saying when I'm retired is "I'm bored." :smile2:

As promised, although I'm still doing some tweaking and finishing details, here are pictures of my studio space and reason for working beyond original retirement date. I'm posting them somewhat in order to orient them to the space but may have to do this in more than one post to get all the pictures in. Finally got the chance to start my first project after setting everything up. Even though I have a lot of sewing projects in various stages of completion, I decided to do weaving instead. My aunt asked me to make kitchen towels that she will give as Christmas gifts and I'd been wanting to do weaving for a while now but didn't have a good spot to put the loom until now. To be continued . . . :smile2:

In picture six you have something hanging on the wall - it's probably a quilt section but it reminds me of the granny squares I crochet - it's beautiful!

It's a quilted wall hanging but I can see the similarity to a granny square. It's a little pixelated because I zoomed in and did a screen shot but maybe this picture will show the detail better.

Thanks - seeing it up close now it does not look like granny squares after all - now you can join some group, have them come over and do an old fashioned "quilting bee"

It looks super! The hardwood floors and lighting are great too. Little envious, all my stuff is in storage totes
in my storage room. You are a very talented lady and this room is well deserved. Enjoy :)

Thank you! The floors are actually a vinyl plank tile rather than hardwood. Vinyl flooring has come a long way in recent years. Other than the sewing supplies and machines, what you see had been in totes in a spare bedroom so packed I could barely walk through, much less actually do any crafting. I'm thrilled with having all this space to spread things out and finally be able to be creative. It's what gets me through the Maine winters. :smile2:

Yes, I know what you mean. I do a lot of hand sewing in the winter months. Nothing on the scale you do, I am not talented
like you are. Still enjoy the looks on people's faces when I have made something for them. This winter I am going to make a few things for myself. I don't even own more than 1 tablecloth and I have made so many.

You sound like me. I give away far more than I keep for myself and it feels a little odd when I do. :smile2:

What a wonderful crafting space! Mr. Blue is the crafter in our family and he'd be quite envious (which is why I'm not sharing these pictures with him). :)
