Such lovely things here! I think I'll spend part of tomorrow crafting. I've got some Christmas-y things in mind. We shall see how it goes.

I say that every year... and I never seem to get to it. Except for Christmas cookies; I always seem to carve out a little time to bake a few dozen.Such lovely things here! I think I'll spend part of tomorrow crafting. I've got some Christmas-y things in mind. We shall see how it goes.
Oh, I am LOSING MY MIND with the cookies this year. I even bought new cookie sheets yesterday. IT'S ON. LIKE DONKEY KONG.I say that every year... and I never seem to get to it. Except for Christmas cookies; I always seem to carve out a little time to bake a few dozen.
Done for a friend of the family who lives on Martha's Vineyard.
The photograph made it look like the needlepoint canvas buckled, but it didn't. It's smooth, flat and correctly stretched.
Yes, it's a "tribal lobster". That's why it looks vaguely Native American. It's a composite of shapes that collectively form another large(r) shape.Very cool! Is that a lobster?
Very nice! Now if only I can remember this for next year!
That would be a good idea here to keep the weather out, too.You can use mason jars with lids. I did it one year on the driveway- of course had to use battery tea lights inside. Didn't want the coons carrying off real candles to the woods! It decorates an entry walkway beautifully.

This sounds like a question Dana Jean might be able to answer I think I'd just decopage itOkay, all you crafty people, I need some help/advice.
At my new salon, the owner has been buying old dressing tables/vanities for our work stations. She gave me mine yesterday, and it's a bit banged up and needs to be refinished. The salon owner said that I can refinish it as I choose.
I want to do a rough sand to strip the shine and the bad spots, but leave some of the dark stain behind......I was thinking that I would
use a bright sangria paint/water wash and rag wipe it onto the wood, and finish with a dark red stain.
Only thing is......I've never done this before. Will it work?
I like this idea...... How would you do it?This sounds like a question Dana Jean might be able to answer I think I'd just decopage it
