Would a 2-car garage be big enough for all your crafts? When I chose our house plan, I had planned on making one of the front rooms a craft room but hubby wanted to take my parent's piano (which neither of us play) and their living room furniture with us. So now, instead of a craft room, we have a living room we never go into :(
...with a giant piano in it? (Wow - have you thought of getting piano lessons for the kids?)

I'm beginning to wonder about that myself! I started sketching out where things would go and was running out of room but it would still be better than the one room that has overflowed into other areas in the house. Using up some of the supplies I already have on hand would make a dent but there are so many pretty new things out there to buy and new crafts to try.

Did you get the loom for Christmas?

The Man has a weird sentimental attachment to anything from his parents, too. I've finally convinced him that we CANNOT take any more furniture from them, but he still takes linens, etc (MIL completely redecorates her house about every other year) and I have to shuffle them off to secondhand shops. I did take my mom's china hutch and antique English armoire, though, so I guess we're nearly as bad as one another *smh*

I'm amazed at all the fabric and craft supplies I've gathered over the years that I plan on using :) I tried going through all my craft supplies and fabric thinking I could surely get rid of some of it but nooooo... I need this stuff! I am thinking about getting rid of my table saw and miter saw. My fear of the blades overcame my desire to make cute wooden things. You're right about there being so many new neat things out there... you'd best go with a 3-car garage lol.

I didn't get the loom... I couldn't figure out where to put it :(

We're sisters from different mothers! I'm the same way about not parting with my supplies. I just know that when I have more time to do my crafting, they'll get used up or someday I'll decide to pick up that craft I haven't done in years. And now to make matters worse, I've found some ideas for using up the tiniest of fabric scraps and those threads that get cut off that I used to throw away but now I know I'll find a way to use them! I'm looking into making art quilts which is where some of that would get used, or for pillows, or.....and so it goes. You may be right about that 3 car garage. Hmmmm....I think I can clear some land where it could go instead.

I've semi converted a shed for my craft room. It contains all the supplies and I still work in the house- but critters tend to "want to see what I am doing." The shed is big enough for a nice massage table I have and that would be a perfect work area. Someday! At least I've come to the point that most crafting supplies are sorted and organized. If only the gremlins would stop moving them around (I never seem to get all worked on supplies back in proper places).

I do remember it although to be honest I had to look it up to make sure it was what I was remembering. Apparently it is also called osnaburg and I hear a little tinkling in the back of my mind that just within the past couple of months I saw that listed in a materials list but WTH was it for?! Yet another of my problems--all these great ideas that I buy supplies for but don't do right away and by the time I get back to it or discover the fabric and/or other supplies and think to myself, now what was it I bought that for?! And then chide myself for all the times I resolved to write the idea down along with a sample of what it was I was going to use to make it and not done it which is why I got myself in that situation.

We have a shed/barn that's twice the size of the house (actually it's one of those quonset huts). It isn't heated or cooled though and it's pretty much filled with tractors, bailers and other farm equipment. I don't go near it because of the critters living near it.

The problem is summer heat/ this shed does have two side windows and I could put a fan in it. I remember those quonset huts on Long Island, NY.
