I trashed it. Just as I was about to restart it, I got my Starry Night pattern.

Made this with Ali for school. Big Earth Day project. Whatever they made had to be out of recycled things, could not buy stuff to use.

We took a 6-pack container, covered it with duct tape to reinforce it a little, then covered that with one of her old t-shirts. Glue was visible through the material, so I unraveled a gift bow to cover that up a little. I couldn't figure out anything for the handle, but she'll be carrying it, so that shouldn't matter too much.
(I hope these pictures aren't huge. I never can tell, using my phone. They all show up the same size for me, even if I resize them, after I post them.)

No way, you're a flight risk....Now if Steve would just agree to my going to AZ for the winter months, I might reconsider that option.
You've been talking to him haven't you?No way, you're a flight risk.

Although this practice has been around forever, the buzz word for it now is "upcycling."I love when we can find other uses for things! great job!

I love those! I think they would be great in a bathroom, myself. May I ask how they are done? Here are some ink dye tiles I did. I was going to do the kitchen backsplash with them, but chickened out.

They are very easy and cheap!I love those! I think they would be great in a bathroom, myself. May I ask how they are done?
Oh, and I also sealed them with engine enamel. It can take higher heats so you can sit hot mugs on them. Or, if I used them in the kitchen over the stove top, they could tolerate the heat of the stove. You get engine enamel clear sealer at Napa auto parts or like stores. They are very easy and cheap!
How to make Alcohol Ink Dyed Coasters
I just didn't make them coaster at first. But, then I did and gave them as gifts. I put felt on the back and rubber feet, they were great.
I also edged them with gold paint to give them more of a finished look. In my pictures, some of them hadn't been edged yet.
